Coffee great, but delivery system needs some thought!

Bought as a present and I wanted to know when delivered so that I could let the recipient know where it came from. Tracking would only update after delivery and never updated. A month later and Royal Mail still has no update on the tracking number supplied!!
I evenutally found out that the parcel had been delivered and the coffee was great.
I contacted Fountain Rock and, after a little hiccup, got responses from them. Hopefully they will use a different delivery method in future and would then get a 4 or 5* from me. Unfortunately, as delivery and contactability are both part of the buying experience I cannot give them more than 3* this time. .... I will try again in the future!

All good

I ordered some San Felipe following an email advising that it was back in stock. Delivery was nice and quick, and the coffee is delicious, just as the guys described it. I use a v60 dripper to brew a 3 cup batch in the morning, this then lasts me all day (with the help of the microwave).

COFFEE STORY - BUENA VISTA #1

This coffee comes from Buena Vista, a tablón (or block) within Finca El Molino, one of the Salaerria family’s three farms sitting around the Santa Ana volcano. José Antonio Salaverria and his sons, Andrés and José Antonio Jr., are sixth-generation coffee producers. They divide their farms into small tablones so each lot can be processed separately and showcased on its own merits.

AT THE FARM

The family do a great deal for both their land and their community. When leaf rust drove many Salvadoran farmers to abandon their farms, José Antonio Senior founded Huisil, a factory turning organic waste, including coffee pulp, into a natural fertiliser that is regenerating the soils on their farms. They also provide permanent jobs, housing and healthcare for their workers. They have built two medical clinics in Ataco and donated land for a school in San Francisco. All their coffee is processed at their central mill, Las Cruces.
