Coffee great, but delivery system needs some thought!

Bought as a present and I wanted to know when delivered so that I could let the recipient know where it came from. Tracking would only update after delivery and never updated. A month later and Royal Mail still has no update on the tracking number supplied!!
I evenutally found out that the parcel had been delivered and the coffee was great.
I contacted Fountain Rock and, after a little hiccup, got responses from them. Hopefully they will use a different delivery method in future and would then get a 4 or 5* from me. Unfortunately, as delivery and contactability are both part of the buying experience I cannot give them more than 3* this time. .... I will try again in the future!

All good

I ordered some San Felipe following an email advising that it was back in stock. Delivery was nice and quick, and the coffee is delicious, just as the guys described it. I use a v60 dripper to brew a 3 cup batch in the morning, this then lasts me all day (with the help of the microwave).

Coffee Origin

COFFEE STORY - SAN FELIPE

This coffee comes from the 38-hectare, San Felipe farm located in the shadows of the Santa Ana volcano. This is the highest volcano in El Salvador and the source of rich volcanic soils well known for producing great coffee. The farm is owned by the Salaverria family. They are now into their 6th generation of coffee producers.

AT THE FARM

The tradition of the family is generally to do a lot for the local community including donating land for a school in San Francisco, El Salvador. San Felipe is one of the Salaverria’s best performing farms. The farm grows coffee across 38 hectares. It is in high latitudes for El Salvador and the trees on the farm always look amazing. Different coffee varieties are planted in steep hillsides. The coffee cherries are fully washed and pulped using a Jotagallo eco-pulper at their central mill, Las Cruces.
